Senior Projects Officer
(Navajo Nation)

Jackie Francke is a member of the Navajo Nation and joined First Nations as a senior projects officer. In this capacity, Jackie provides technical assistance and training to First Nations’ grantees in the areas of program management, development, and evaluation and supports the coordination, facilitation, and implementation of the nonprofit capacity building program.

Prior to joining First Nations, Jackie spent 11 years as president of Geotechnika, Inc., which provided products and consultancy in the areas geo-environmental monitoring, energy efficiency and renewable energy development to large federal agencies, tribal organizations, corporate entities, and nonprofit organizations. As a technical consultant, she assisted tribal organizations and communities with program development, implementation, and management for tribal programs, projects, and grants.

With a background in mining engineering, Jackie spent ten years with Westinghouse Electric Corporation as a senior engineer, with responsibilities that included maintaining processes, data collection, analysis, and reporting instrumentation systems under the guidelines of federal and state environmental oversight.

Jackie has a Bachelor of Science in mining engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro, New Mexico.
