ACTION ALERT! Double your impact!

Give to First Nations online April 17-26 and you’ll have TWICE the impact!

First Nations is participating in the Cultures of Giving Donor Challenge starting tomorrow, April 17. This challenge runs for 10 days only, through April 26. All contributions made online during those days will be matched dollar for dollar! So anyone who gives at www.firstnations.org/cog can DOUBLE their positive impact on Native communities.

Less than 1% of philanthropic contributions go to American Indian and Native American causes. Yet, the real per-capita income for Indians residing on reservations is only $7,942 compared to the U.S. total for all races of $21,587.

The Cultures of Giving campaign is a concept of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, which launched the larger Cultures of Giving effort a few years ago to promote increased giving to organizations like First Nations that support people of color by addressing critical issues in those communities.

For more than 30 years, using a three-pronged strategy of educating grassroots practitioners, advocating for systemic change, and capitalizing Indian communities, First Nations has been working to restore Native American control and culturally-compatible stewardship of the assets they own – be they land, human potential, cultural heritage or natural resources – and to establish new assets for ensuring the long-term vitality of Native American communities.  First Nations serves rural and reservation-based Native American communities throughout the United States. For more information about First Nations, visit www.firstnations.org.

When was the last time you enjoyed DOUBLE the power of your dollars? It truly makes a difference.  Please give now, and please ask your friends, family, colleagues and social-media networks to give, too. Thank you!
