NCAI Agriculture Policy and Food Sovereignty Symposium | February 25, 2020
NCAI’s Tribal Food Sovereignty Advancement Initiative (TFSAI) is hosting its Agriculture Policy and Food Sovereignty Symposium next month at the Pearl River Resort in Choctaw, MS. This free one-day event will focus on the nexus between food sovereignty and agriculture policies. The symposium is a facilitated workshop engaging tribal leaders, native food producers, and tribal program staff in constructive dialogue around how the federal government can strengthen agriculture policy to empower the food production efforts of tribal nations, organizations, and individual Native food producers.
The perspectives shared by attendees will be synthesized into a series of policy reports that NCAI will produce and release in 2020. We invite you to join this important national discussion and look forward to your participation.
