The diffusion and preservation of cultural knowledge among Native boys and young men is a key pathway to success among this underserved and somewhat neglected demographic. This report highlights areas of success by five innovative programs among Indigenous communities in the United States. In the literature on boys and young men of color, retaining connection to attributes of culture is difficult, but proves successful in achieving a better life and improved educational and social outcomes.
