Abbi joined First Nations in January 2022 and is a Program Officer for the Stewarding Native Lands program. Previously, Abbi served as a research resident for an agriculture research nonprofit, where she assisted in developing perennial living cover cropping systems, uplifting the intern education program, and co-leading an Indigenous agriculture project in collaboration with an Indigenous seed keeper.
Abbi received her Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech in 2019 in crop and soil science. While her background is mostly in scientific research, Abbi’s experience also includes working in the U.S. Congress, raking hay on the Kansas plains, and teaching English in Mongolia.
Outside of work, Abbi enjoys reading, gardening with friends, and being involved in the local community.
