Antonio J. Garcia

Antonio J. Garcia joined First Nations in November 2021 as a Program Assistant. In this role, he helps facilitate First Nations’ diverse programs to strengthen Native communities and their economies.

 

Antonio is originally from Denver, Colorado, and has experience in participating in and supporting the liberation of BIPOC communities in numerous community roles and organizations. Antonio’s background consists of activism and organizing in addressing inequities in the public education system and on issues surrounding Indigenous human, land, water, and resource rights.

 

Antonio currently attends the University of New Mexico studying public administration with focuses on sociology, Native American studies, and Chicanx studies. Additionally, he serves as chair of the board of directors of the Unity Among Nations Youth Council. Antonio enjoys attending ceremony, spending time with family, and gardening.
