Cetan joined First Nations in May 2024 as a Program Officer for the Nourishing Native Foods & Health Program.

Before this, she served as a Senior Water Resource Scientist for Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority, where she helped develop education materials for water authority staff on behalf of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for Endangered Species Act (ESA) compliance, as well as conducted site investigations for groundwater sites of concern for source water assessments.

She has also served as a researcher for the Native Land Information System for Village Earth, providing subject matter expertise in water resource planning and resources, and as a STEAM and math teacher for the American Indian Academy of Denver.

Cetan has a bachelor of science degree in environmental science, water management, and hydrologic science from Metropolitan State University of Denver, and a master of science degree in bioagricultural sciences and pest management from Colorado State University.
