Margaret O’Connor

Margaret has a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University, where she majored in political science with an emphasis in American Indian Policy. She is in her final semester of obtaining her Master’s degree from Sinte Gleska University in Human Services with an emphasis in human development grounded in Indigenous history, policy and worldview.

Prior to working for First Nations she spent the last 10 years using her voice to strengthen positive outcomes for Indigenous peoples in community-based programming in the areas of public health, education and mental health fields on the Rosebud Reservation.

In her free time Margaret enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, throwing ceramics, and returning home to Alaska to participate in subsistence living and be surrounded by family.
