Marsha Whiting

Marsha Whiting is an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe and is also Sicangu Lakota. She returned to First Nations Development Institute as the Associate Director of Programs in 2017, and then again in 2023 as the Associate Director of Grantmaking. Marsha previously served as Vice President of Operations & Programs at First Peoples Fund. She has over 12 years of experience working in Native nonprofits serving both urban and reservation communities. She was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and has been as an active member of the Denver Indian community, where she has volunteered extensively. She is currently on the board of directors for Ogallala Commons and on the advisory board for Native Organizers Alliance.
