As a program associate, Michelle assists in the administration and coordination of First Nations’ projects and resource development efforts. Before joining First Nations in 2022, Michelle worked in the behavioral health and mental health field in local non-profit, public school, and tribal settings for over 10 years. Prior to relocating to the Colorado Springs area, she was employed with the Seminole Tribe of Florida-Center for Behavioral Health as a clinical associate predominantly supporting Native youth and their families. Michelle earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Haskell Indian Nations University, as well as a Master of Social Work in administrative and advocacy practice from the University of Kansas.
