Tiarra Little

Program Officer, Stewarding Native Lands

Oglala Lakota

Tiarra Little (she/her) is Oglala Lakota from Pine Ridge, South Dakota, and she joined First Nations in October 2023 as a program officer with the Stewarding Native Lands team. She holds a B.A. in Comparative Studies in race and ethnicity with an emphasis in education, access, and equity from Stanford University, and an Ed.M. in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Prior to joining First Nations, Tiarra worked as a program coordinator at Black Hills State University’s Center for American Indian Studies and as an adjunct instructor at their College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. She has experience in Indigenous education and community development as a NACA-Inspired Schools Network Indigenous School Design Fellow, an HGSE Equity and Inclusion Fellow, and independent education consultant and cattle rancher. Tiarra also brings to First Nations her passion for Indigenous futurism, narratives, and storytelling.
