May 21 is Native Nonprofit Day!
First Nations Development Institute is proud to join Native Ways Federation in celebration of Native Nonprofit Day.
Taking place on May 21, 2026, Native Nonprofit Day is a national giving and awareness campaign dedicated to increasing support for Native-led organizations. Each May, individuals, organizations, and foundations come together to uplift Native leadership, amplify Native voices, and invest in community-driven solutions across Indian Country.
Research continues to show that less than 1% of total foundation funding reaches Native American organizations. Native Nonprofit Day is an opportunity to help shift that reality by supporting Native-led nonprofits directly and strengthening long-term impact in Native communities.
We encourage our supporters to explore Native Ways Federation’s list of participating organizations and make a gift to a Native-led nonprofit. Your support helps sustain the important work happening in communities across the country.
