Tribes

First Nations Development Institute offers this list of resources to help you find federally-recognized Indian tribes in the United States. We also offer similar resource pages for tribal enrollment and genealogy, and Native languages.

Many tribes have been devastated by the effects of coronavirus, and First Nations is taking action. The pandemic health pandemic has revealed deep fissures in Indian country food systems and infrastructure, and reinforced First Nations’ realization/belief that we need to redouble our efforts to work with Native communities in responding to these immediate needs related to the COVID-19 health pandemic. This includes efforts to strengthen Native food systems. Learn more and donate here.
