Event Overview

The Food Sovereignty Summit is a national gathering hosted by First Nations’ Native Agriculture and Food Systems Investments program, bringing together Native food systems practitioners and community partners to share knowledge, strengthen relationships, and support Indigenous-led solutions.

Grounded in Indigenous values, cultural knowledge, and community-led solutions, the summit creates space for relationship-building, shared learning, and collaboration across Native communities. Participants will engage in hands-on workshops, inspiring conversations, cultural activities, and opportunities to explore innovative approaches to food sovereignty, health, land stewardship, and community wellbeing.

This gathering honors the deep connections between food, culture, identity, and self-determination. Through storytelling, peer exchange, and practical learning, the summit aims to uplift Native-led efforts to restore traditional foodways, strengthen local economies, support future generations, and advance the health and resilience of Tribal communities.
