The ultimate purpose of Hope through Tradition is to 1) create positive mentoring opportunities and relationships between youth and community members while offering a new sport to youth. 2) Baaga'adowe will provide an opportunity to introduce/increase the use of Ojibwemowin. 3) Baaga'adowe will increase exercise opportunities for youth and adults and introduce cultural and historical traditions. 4) Baaga'adowe will utilize the experiences and stories of community members familiar with baaga'adowe 5) Baaga'adowe will leverage participation of other youth programs and utilize the commitment of the larger community in youth programming.
