Chief Joseph Foundation

The ultimate purpose is to 1) create an opportunity for Nez Perce youth to learn about their culture from tribal elders, 2) increase and retain youth involvement with the appaloosa horse as another avenue than our regular riding riding programs 3) increase understanding of the significance of Nez Perce traditional regalia/horse trappings, and showmanship 4) developing a deep respect for traditions in youth so they may mature into well rounded future leaders, and 5) leveraging our program and mission by creating partnerships with individuals and other community programs to better serve our youth and community.
