The Girl Who Married the Moon

2010

The Girl Who Married the Moon is an animated film created by the Alutiiq Museum’s PatRiitat P’tasqat (Moving Pictures Project) with a grant from First Nations Development Institute’s Native Youth and Culture Fund.

Twenty students created over forty pieces of art to illustrate the Alutiiq legend The Girl Who Married the Moon. Alf Pryor of Dead Humpy Photography produced the animation with inspiration from student artwork, voice acting by Kodiak youth, and Alutiiq vocabulary.
