Project Purpose The Winnebago Food Sovereignty Internship Program is a youth outreach and workforce initiative that expands HCCDC's intern program to include a food sovereignty focus. The new initiative increases locally grown produce, encourages 26 interns to consider agriculture careers, and retains tribal culture by teaching tribal language and traditional farming practices.

Project Purpose This camp fosters cultural pride and help revitalize Nez Perce language and culture among youth from three different reservations. Through immersive experiences in their ancestral homeland, Native students from three regional reservations will gain a deeper sense of identity and develop friendships and knowledge that will help connect a divided people. Students will become leaders of Nez Perce language and culture preservation in their communities.
