Project Purpose Further develop an annual cohort in which 10 Alaska Native youth aged 18-24 learn transformative organizing skills while building statewide relationships among themselves, in order to build people power to defend the rights of Indigenous peoples and the rights of Mother Earth in the long-term.

Project Purpose The Winnebago Food Sovereignty Internship Program is a youth outreach and workforce initiative that expands HCCDC's intern program to include a food sovereignty focus. The new initiative increases locally grown produce, encourages 26 interns to consider agriculture careers, and retains tribal culture by teaching tribal language and traditional farming practices.

Project Purpose This camp fosters cultural pride and help revitalize Nez Perce language and culture among youth from three different reservations. Through immersive experiences in their ancestral homeland, Native students from three regional reservations will gain a deeper sense of identity and develop friendships and knowledge that will help connect a divided people. Students will become leaders of Nez Perce language and culture preservation in their communities.

Project Purpose The project will create opportunities for Habematolel Pomo of Upper Lake youth at both Generations Early Childhood Education Center and the Education Center to connect with the Pomo culture and customs.

Project Purpose The project creates increased cultural and environmental education opportunities for a greater number of Pomo youth; launches new collaborative efforts between Potter Valley tribe, and 12 other Pomo tribal groups with Xa Kako Dile: learning gardens and Noyo Center for Marine Science and leverages resources of each organization towards the goal of educating and empowering native Pomo youth in traditional cultural knowledge, benefitting the community.

Project Purpose The Wahi Kupuna Internship Program program creates a learning environment that bridges Indigenous worldviews and Western science to integrate Hawaiian knowledge systems with CRM work, teaching interns to conduct ethically sound research and ultimately increasing the number of Native Hawaiians working in the CRM field.

Project Purpose The overall purpose of this project is to increase the impact of and participation in the Wotakuye Wellness After-School program at the Lakota language elementary school. This program aims to empower and uplift the next generation of Sicangu leaders through cultural and recreational activities.

Project Purpose The main goal of the project of the Northern Cheyenne Cultural Learning Project is to encourage our Cheyenne youth to discover their own creativity and sense of purpose and to develop leadership skills that provide an understanding of our culture, traditional values and sense of responsibility for self, others, and for our homeland.

Project Purpose This project retains cultural knowledge and empowers youth with life skills and Yup'ik language classes that increase the sustainability of life in Igiugig Village. The ultimate goal of this project is to revitalize Lake Iliamna Yup’ik by growing new, young speakers, learning from elders, and creating language materials that capture unwritten history, cultural values, and traditional stories.

Project Purpose The project will create a year-round paddling program to increase the number of youth trained in traditional Hawaiian paddling practices and will utilize youth to provide peer mentorship.
