The Pueblo of Pojoaque is celebrating the purchase of 470 acres of ancestral homelands in the Pojoaque Valley in northern New Mexico. Acquisition of this formerly privately owned land is a major victory for tribal land restoration efforts in the southwest and cultural revitalization as the land is of cultural significance to the P’o-suwae-geh Owingeh. This acquisition, made possible through a partnership with the Western River Conservancy, advances the tribe’s efforts to regain what is rightfully theirs. Learn more here.
