As the Director of Communications for First Nations Development Institute, Amy’s role is to share news and highlights about First Nations and our grantees. With over 20 years of experience in communications, marketing, copywriting, and editing in both corporate and nonprofit sectors, Amy joined First Nations in 2020 after years of writing for the organization on a freelance basis.
Amy’s most recent position was owner/principle of Amy Jakober Communications, specializing in writing and content creation. Before that, she served in multiple roles at American Humane Association, including senior philanthropy officer, director of communications, and communications manager. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
