To improve food systems on the Pine Ridge Reservation by establishing a legal, fully functioning American Indian governed non-profit solely dedicated to increasing capacity and wellbeing of Oglala Stockgrowers and Landowners

Attending the 2019 AIANTC will increase knowledge of PRACC staff in how art and culture are related to tourism in Indian Country. Staff will apply this new knowledge to assist in the creation of new projects on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

The PRACC Artist Mentorship project will provide opportunity for Master artists to deliver education and knowledge to emerging artists at apprentices. The project will ensure that art mediums, both traditional and contemporary are learned and retained within a younger generation.

This project will create new opportunities and increase capacity for 24 artists by instituting an artist in residence program at PRACC. The program will utilize successful artists to assist Junior artists learning the business aspect of art. This process will aid the retention of art as cultural and economic independence.
