Roots and Relations restores community capacity to care for the land as we revitalize an underutilized baseball field into a cultural gathering place, home to the riparian habitat and culturally traditional plants necessary for our heritage and the land to thrive.

This project expands internal capacity to access and manage U.S. Forest Service funding, supporting tribal-led restoration, cultural stewardship, and climate resilience through strategic planning, funding alignment, and system readiness across homelands.

Our project restores culturally significant native plants and traditional knowledge as lasting Tribal assets. It protects ecological and cultural resources while building community capacity to steward MGBOMI lands through seasonal restoration, foodways education, and intergenerational learning.
