The final goal of this project is to develop a conservation agreement with and approved by Tribal Council establishing a means or instrument to provide for continuous reservation ferret recovery sites insuring the availability of habitat for future introductions on alternative sites.
Chippewa Cree Indians of the Rocky Boy's Reservation, Montana
Purpose To implement fuels reduction and conservation strategies to enhance public safety and natural resources. Efforts will initiate long term goals to regain control of tribal stewardship initiatives that will increase opportunities around natural resources to include employment and economic development.

The Chippewa Cree Tribe's ultimate purpose is to promote and increase utilization of some of our local picnic areas for the Chippewa Cree Community. The utmost concern for the Tribe is to provide a safe environment for anyone who chooses to utilize the picnic sites and recreational areas.

This project will utilize the Migiziinsag program to help retain the Ojibwe language within the KBIC community and to increase classroom use by preparing our teachers, families, and the community with language learning opportunities.

Our project's aim is to retain traditional knowledge about healthy food and lifestyles, and to increase knowledge and participation among urban native youth in the reclamation and celebration of these assets and resources. Youth will produce six 5-minute videos and companion resources to distribute to schools, individuals and organizations.

The ultimate purpose of this project is to assist Cochiti, Santa Ana, and Zia Pueblos on creating ways to help revitalize and retain their cultural identity and heritage. The existing Headstart curriculum and the implementation of culturally appropriate activities will support children’s learning to increase awareness, showcasing their cultural beliefs.

The project will increase cultural awareness of our community youth through interactive workshops of artistic and historical value. By utilizing our tribal artists and Elders’ knowledge and skills we will bridge the generational gap. Building those relationships throughout the year will help renew youth to tribal traditions for the future.

Brave Girls will create a safe, positive, and supportive environment outside of the academic setting to help empower, work on positive development to assist with building a consciousness about decision making to help participants be contributing members to their communities, society, and to lead successful lives in their terms.
Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, Michigan
The project will create traditional interconnectedness between our youth, our ancestors and Mother Earth through song and dance. The project will empower our youth by utilizing traditional dance styles, origins, language and regalia making. This will increase traditional knowledge and sustainability for our future leaders and the next seven generations.
