This project will help youth increase capacity of traditional plants and animals by utilizing elder’s knowledge and life experiences. Our youth will retain lessons learned from elder mentors through experiential learning and the creation of documents that will remain as part of a library of teachings for future generations.

To support retention of the Micmac language and traditions absent or lost over time and strengthen relationships between youth and Elders BGCPI will hire a part-time Coordinator to leverage existing relationships and resources within our community to implement educational sessions and events to engage Elders and youth.
