Anaya Echo-Hawk

Anaya Echo-Hawk is a tribal member of the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation. She is Pawnee, Paiute and Pit River as well. She is honored to serve as First Nations’ Development Officer, a role she began in March 2025.

Before joining the team at First Nations, she established a career centered on advocating for and advancing Native priorities, working on initiatives that support Indigenous communities and promote their cultural and social well-being. Her work included serving on an Advisory Panel for Indigenous communities and contributing to the development of Land Acknowledgement terms and Native Studies curricula. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology, with a Minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Residing in the Denver Metro area, she unwinds by writing, reading, and running. Above all, she values spending time with her three children and her beloved pug.
