Briana Edmo

Briana Edmo is a citizen of the Navajo Nation and born for the Blackfeet and Shoshone-Bannock people. She currently serves as a Program Officer for the Stewarding Native Lands program at First Nations Development Institute.

Briana holds a degree in Indigenous & American Indian Studies with an emphasis in Tribal Sovereignty from Haskell Indian Nations University. Her passion for service led her to the United States Peace Corps, where she served as an education volunteer in the Kingdom of Tonga. After completing her Peace Corps service, she earned a Master of Human Rights from Auckland University of Technology, further deepening her commitment to Indigenous human rights and social justice.

With a strong background in research and advocacy, Briana has focused much of her career on promoting and enhancing Indigenous rights, particularly in areas related to environmental protection and economic development. She is passionate about supporting the growth of Indigenous communities through sustainable and equitable practices.

Outside of work, Briana enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family. Her diverse experiences and deep-rooted commitment to her communities continue to inspire her work and drive her mission of making a positive impact in Indian Country.
