Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe

This project builds organizational capacity to steward 3,000 acres of tribal lands. It will support engagement with U.S. Forest Service and contribute to long-term stewardship planning.

The Shoalwater Bay Indian Tribe will utilize these grant funds to further food sovereignty and TEK practices of land management for the Tribe. The projects will protect and promote resilient cultural use and recreational areas and ensure ability to access these locations as the climate changes.

This project will increase the efficiency of our produce production through the purchase of advanced gardening equipment, while also creating a new poultry harvesting program to supplement our garden.
